Our Story

Welcome to Dolls World, Australia, the home of many beautiful collector dolls and teddy bears by leading world artists. We have a large selection of new Annette Himstedt vinyl dolls available for sale.

Dolls World was established by Leonie and Michael Mahar in 1981 and is still operated by us today, With the closure of our retail shop we became an online business only and we look forward to semi retirement.

Prior to the establishment of Dolls World, Michael had 30 years of banking experience and this gave him the knowledge in commerce and also the importing side of the business.

Over the years we have been able to travel overseas to purchase our stock and this has enabled us to personally meet and build lasting friendships with so many of our wonderful artists. This has also developed to being appointed Australian Distributor of their products.

The business was established for the purpose of offering to the true collector the best in collector dolls and teddy bears and quality products for today’s children, who after all, are tomorrow’s collectors.
