Matryoshka Dolls
The Matryoshka dolls were first made in Russia approximately 100 years ago and are commonly known around the world as nesting dolls because they fit one within the other. They are an example of Russian Folk Art. They are all turned out of wood and are hand painted by women using traditional designs but are also available from individual artists using their own creative designs.
